THE SINNER

Main title for USA's Golden Globe-nominated psychological drama THE SINNER. Inspired by the Rorschach inkblot test, our concept was to present an ever-evolving journey through the protagonist’s troubled unconscious, passing layers of imagery that are at once thematically complex and vastly unknowable. In developing the animation technique for the sequence I challenged myself to make the visuals just the right amount of abstract – so that you feel  the purpose in every frame yet at the same time never quite know what you're looking at.
